Released on October 23, 2024, While We Wait Here is a choose your own adventure horror game developed and published by Bad Vices Games.
You, the player, take on the role of the owner of a small diner who's busy serving customers when you all find out that a catastrophe is about to end the world. Your choices here matter as it's up to you if you'll save the lives of your customers or if you'll just let them wait for their deaths.

The Art of Listening
The diners have mixed reactions to the end of the world, and a big part of your job is to listen to what they have to say. This will also serve as an opportunity for you to try to save their lives, if you want to.

Steam Reviews for 'While We Wait Here'
As of press time, While We Wait Here has more than 600 user reviews on Steam. Steam has categorized these reviews as "Very Positive."
"A very compelling story about trauma and coming to terms with reality, where every character's background gets explored," user Nik439 said in a review.
"Also, the cooking mechanic is a very clever way to keep you entertained during the dialogues," Nik439 added. "Highly recommended."
"A lovingly presented snapshot of a handful of interconnected people who happen to be in a diner in southern America in a specific place and time," user Tahuru said in a separate review. "This is really a game about a handful of people and the choices they need to make, presented with a garnishing of running a diner just to aid the atmosphere and give you a reason to get familiar with the place."
