Former developers from Paradox Interactive and CD Projekt Red formed new Polish studio From Chaos and unveiled their debut title, Liegecraft.
The game is described as a 4X strategy game that takes inspiration from the likes of Civilization, Crusader Kings, and Manor Lords. The new title is a hex and turn-based game where players will have to manage a medieval world.
New 4X Strategy Game
You can build a variety of structures, including castles, and take vassals, muster armies, and go on adventures and quests. Liegecraft will also feature branching dialogue and looks to include a relatively cozy feeling.
The press release for the upcoming game describes it mixing the in-depth diplomacy and statecraft of Crusader Kings 3 with the importance of player decisions found in Yes, Your Grace. Players will become medieval monarchs in Liegecraft who will be responsible for guiding their realm to become prosperous, according to Rock Paper Shotgun.
The developer also noted that you will be able to wield your vassals as your right hand. You can also grant them various titles and bestow lands on them. You will also be capable of demanding loyalty as you continue to spread your influence.

Liegecraft will have a focus on RPG-caliber character interactions and development. From Chaos added that the game's exploration and questing can remind some people of Heroes of Might & Magic, specifically the third entry.
The studio also confirmed that the 4X strategy game will be coming to PC next year for an early access version. Every single character you encounter in Liegecraft has their own unique personalities, traits, strengths, and flaws, Sports Illustrated said.
Taking Inspiration From Popular Titles
All of these factors will influence how these characters behave and interact with each other. You will also have to play into their desires and take advantage of their weaknesses so that you can become a much more successful ruler.
Players can invite various characters on feasts, hunts, and even adventures inside the castle's dungeon. Every single playthrough that you go through will involve a new map as well as a different set of characters to keep the experience fresh.
When you expand your kingdom, you will be able to try to recruit a loyal following who will serve you and your cause. You should keep the most loyal ones by your side and reward them as they complete their missions.
As Liegecraft contains so many mechanics inspired by other games in the genre, some players are concerned that it can overreach some aspects. This may make some parts feel a bit underwhelming. But fans of strategy and RPG are still excited about the title, according to PCGamesN.
