The physical edition of Black Myth: Wukong is coming to PlayStation 5 and is now open for pre-orders to those who want to secure their copies early.

While pre-orders are now live for the game's physical version, the actual release of the discs has not yet been confirmed by developer Game Science. However, the physical editions will cost $64.99 for most of the retailers it is available right now.

Black Myth: Wukong's Physical Edition

The situation comes as more and more people are becoming concerned about their ownership of various digital games. Fortunately, Game Science said that Black Myth: Wukong's physical version will include the entire game and will not need any download.

While the physical PlayStation 5 version of the game is only available in one edition, it gives players a code for various extra items. These are those that were included in the digital deluxe edition of the popular soulslike title, according to IGN.

The bonus items that can be acquired through the physical edition's code include the Bronzecloud Staff, Folk Opera Set, Wind Chimes, and selected Digital Soundtrack. This is an amazing bonus for Game Science's Chinese mythology-inspired video game.

Black Myth: Wukong originally launched on the PlayStation 5 and PC on Aug. 19, 2024, and is set to come to Xbox consoles at some point in the future. The game also takes inspiration from the Journey to the West story.

An Amazing Mythical Journey

In the game, players take control of The Destined One while navigating through a dangerous world filled with mythical enemies. Throughout a player's journey, they would regularly encounter a variety of bosses that showcase the deep culture of Chinese mythology, Game Spot said.

However, the main issue that other people have had with Black Myth: Wukong is that outside of these boss battles, the game mostly feels redundant. Fortunately, the extreme variety of encounters that you experience throughout the game more than makes up for this flaw.

Game Science's effort to distribute the physical version of Black Myth: Wukong will be assisted by PM Studios. The regions that are included in the distribution are USA, Europe,m South America, Australia, and New Zealand.

Other people who played the game said that it took a little bit of time for Black Myth: Wukong's combat to truly click. However, when it does, the game suddenly becomes one of the most creative action titles available on the PlayStation 5 console, according to Push Square.
