The First Descendant has a lot of quests that players can complete to obtain a variety of rewards, including characters and other stuff.
There are also some exclusive quests that you can unlock after unlocking specific characters. One example of this is when you get Bunny, you can talk to the Descendant Instructor at Albion. This finishes the research training.
Starting the Questline
You can then go ahead and follow the marker so that you can speak to Alpha at headquarters. You can then click on the "A Mission for Bunny" option. This will start a questline that will, in the end, have you complete the Follow Their Traces quest.
Alpha will tell you that they discovered some records that are related to her parents. He hopes that Bunny can help him look into them to gather more information. You will first have to open the Journal and read the record that Alpha gave Bunny, according to Game Rant.
Next, you need to find a record that is somewhere in the Restricted Zone of the Sterile Land map. This particular item can be found next to the High-Powered Jammer mission starting point.
But in order to actually acquire the record, you don't even need to start the High-Powered Jammer objective. You can just find the journal south of the starting point on the edge of a cliff.
When you pick up the journal, you should go to the Journal Tab and listen to the Descendant Record "Emergency Communications Records - Agent Cayden Voltia." This unlocks the next part of the questline, Games Radar said.
I Bet There's Something More
The I Bet There's Something More quest can be completed by going back and talking to Alpha in Albion. Next, you will have to talk to Nell, who is near Alpha. The next quest is The Traces Continue.
You can only complete this quest if you have access to the Vespers area. You have to reach the Ruins during the second phase of Bunny's questline, according to Screen Rant.
The next record can be found in the Ruins near the Void Fragment objective. To get there, just complete three purple objectives to get past the first sub-section of the area.

The item itself is located on a structure above the Void Fragment mission in the Ruins. You need to use your grappling hook to get to the top of the structure.
After reading the record, you should speak to Gley in Albion. After that, you need to talk to Sharen. This will unlock the In Search of the Relic quest.
The next record is in the Echo Swamp, specifically in the Derelict Covert area, which is the fourth and final section. You will have to get on top of one of the higher treehouse structures to get the next journal.
Data Chip Fragment
This one is found southwest of the Ghost Marsh mission at the northern end of the sub-section. Make use of the floating and moving blue platforms and bridges to get there. After you read this record, you need to talk to Anais in Albion. Then, visit the Agna Desert map to get a Data Chip Fragment.
After beating the Dead Bride colossus Void Intercept Battle, you have to talk with the required NPCs at Albion to unlock the Agna Desert map. You will not have to visit the Void Fusion Reactor mission in Vermillion Waste. This part of the quest requires you to have 12 Organic Void Shards and three Inorganic Void Shards.
Once you have these items, go to Agna Desert and turn on the machine to engage in a boss fight against Duplicate Enhanced Power Drakkul. After you beat this enemy, go back to Albion and talk to Anais to restore the data chip.
The next part of the questline can be done after you unlock the White-night Gulch map, particularly the Shipment Base section. You need to complete the Shipbase: Vulgus Strategic Outpost mission before speaking to Anais in Albion.
Beating the Pyromaniac
You will now be required to defeat the Pyromaniac in a Void Intercept Battle. You can unlock this boss battle by fully completing the White-night Gulch battlefield. After beating the boss, go back to Albion and speak to Anais.
Click on "The Final Coordinates" to begin the final part of the Follow Their Traces questline. After that, talk to her again and choose the option to move to the "Abandoned Magister Lab." This will start a Solo operation that Bunny has to clear to progress.
After that, go back to Albion and talk to Anais, Sharen, Gley, and then Alpha. This marks the end of the Follow Their Traces questline. The main reward you get is an Old Teddy Bear Chest Attachment.
