Lakers rookie LeBron Raymone "Bronny" James Jr. and D'Angelo "DLo" Russel are looking to partner with Activision. They are asking for their own Call of Duty skins.

Similar to many young adults, Bronny James is a big fan of video games and plays them during his free time. He has recently been drafted as an official NBA player which could eat away at his hobby time.

His father, LeBron James, also shares the same passion as he frequently plays Madden whenever he stays in his hotel room or when he is on the road. Video games seem to be an integral part of the James family as they try to disconnect from their official jobs.

Bronny typically plays Call of Duty games and the creator of the franchise had recently granted Phoenix Suns stars Kevin Durant and Devin Booker their own in-game skins. This caused Lebron to post on social media, urging Activision for his son's own skin in the games, according to Lakers Nation.

This led fellow Lakers member Russell to post on social media as well, sharing his own desire to be a part of the shooter franchise. The latest entry in the franchise is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 which is set to release on Oct.25, 2024.

The short time before the game is released means that there is very little reason for Activision to grant Bronny's dream for this particular title at launch. However, each of the Call of Duty games typically has a life cycle of one year, giving developers opportunities to add new content.

Video Game Collaboration

Getting their own skins in the Call of Duty franchise will most likely get Bronny and Russell a lot of attention. The situation also comes as LeBron previously got a Fortnite skin that coincided with the release of Space Jam 2 which he starred in, Footboom1 said.

LeBron also made his mark in the video games industry when he became a playable character in Player First Games' MultiVersus arcade fighting game. On the other hand, Bronny recently made headlines when he won a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III tournament at the Summer League.

Despite his success in the video game industry, Bronny has struggled to perform just as well in the NBA. In the pre-season, he went just one-for-11 from the field. Furthermore, in three games, he has the worst plus-minus on the team with a total of minus-40, according to Sportskeeda.
