Newly leaked information for the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A game has potentially revealed the starters that players can choose from.

The new details come as the game was originally announced in February earlier this year with little to no details of what fans could expect. For now, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is set for a 2025 release window for the Nintendo Switch.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Leaks

The game is rumored to be available on the Nintendo Switch 2. However, this has not been officially confirmed. The leaked information about Pokemon Legends: Z-A has surfaced thanks to prolific Pokemon leaker Riddler Khu..

The fairly reliable source posted on X cryptically posted the numbers "3 5 8" and gave no additional context. No definitive explanation was given for the post and it left the answer to the imagination of fans, according to Comic Book.

However, many people are now speculating that these numbers are actually references to particular Pokemon generations that the starters in the new game will come from. The first is said to be for the Grass Starter, the second for the Fire Starter, and the third for the Water starter.

Given all of these assumptions, people believe that the starters that will be available in Pokemon Legends: Z-A are Treecko, Tepic, and Sobble. The speculations seem to be reasonable enough given what we know so far. However, there is no official confirmation for it.

The upcoming game could also have a gimmick that is a total game-changer as it could implement a relatively simple, but unique change. This is not the first time that the series has done this, Game Rant said.

New Information

In particular, Pokemon Legends: Arceus introduced a reworked tall grass system that was well-received among the 30-year franchise's fans. One of the most beloved mechanics from the series was Mega Evolutions, which were quickly removed in recent generations but are coming back in Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

One particular change that fans said the upcoming title could introduce is the addition of a fifth move slot. This change, while being relatively simple, could have major consequences, both good and bad, for the franchise as a whole.

The release window for Pokemon Legends: Z-A has fans hopeful that it will be released alongside Nintendo's Switch 2. Some people have already speculated that it could be like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and will be released on both consoles as a hybrid, according to Gaming Bible.
