Mario Golf: Super Rush gives players a chance to take their game on the green. Your goal is to score the lowest possible number of strokes for various holes.

The game features a lot of popular characters from the franchise to determine who can make the best shots. There are a lot of things that you can unlock in Mario Golf: Super Rush as well as upgrade.

The latter is important as it lets you score better on various holes by boosting your character's stats in various ways. However, this takes up a lot of Character Points that can sometimes be a pain to get.

Fortunately, this guide helps players learn how to get a lot of Character Points so that they can make their characters even stronger on the green. These points are part of a unique scoring system in Mario Golf: Super Rush.

Character Points

The first thing you should know is that when a playable character reaches enough Character Points, they can unlock new sets of golf clubs that can be used in each course. If you reach 1,000 Character Points, it will unlock their Star Club Set, according to Screen Rant.

Reaching 3,000 Character Points will let you unlock that character's Super Star Set. The difference between each club type is primarily seen in their control and spin stats. The Star Clubs trade control for spin and the Super Star Clubs have considerably more control instead of spin.

Earning More Points

The primary way of getting Character Points in Mario Golf: Super Rush is by playing each of the game modes with your chosen character. You can choose either the standard golf courses or tee off in the fast-paced Speed Golf mode.

You can also earn more Character Points by scoring points in the chaotic Battle Golf mode. If you want to get a lot of a particular character's points, focus on using them instead of other characters.

Other than playing in courses, finishing each hole in fewer strokes can also award bonus points. Birdies give 10 points, Eagles give 20 points, and Albatross finishes will give 50 points. If you are able to get a Hole in One, you can get 100 points, VG247 said.

There are some ways to get more Character Points faster and the one that takes the most effort is restarting a hole. This can be done by selecting your characters for a standard golf course. When the hole starts, each character you choose will get 10 points. Then quickly restart the hole and do the process again.

Using Character Points

You can use Character Points to increase your character's stats. In Mario Golf: Super Rush, there are several stats that you can increase.

These are Power, Stamina, Speed, Control, and Spin. Power is self-explanatory and lets your character hit the ball farther. Stamina on the other hand is the bar that appears during Speed Golf, Battle Golf, and XC Golf.

This stat lets you Sprint further and use the Super Rush more often. Third is Speed, which determines how fast your character can run across the fairway and rough. Control relates to how far you can hit the ball in a straight line.

A high number in this particular stat lets you tee off from uneven ground much easier. It will also change how much your ball will curve while in the air. Last is Spin, which determines how much your ball can spin when it hits the ground. This is particularly useful if you enjoy using Top Spin and Back Spin strategies, according to The Gamer.
