The game was recently launched for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in May 2024. Crow Country places players in the 1990s and the titular theme part of Edward Crow. He is a man who simply vanished in mysterious circumstances two years ago.
Crow Country Coming to PS4 & Switch
Developer SFB Games teased that players should not be deceived by the "whimsical surroundings" of the theme park. The studio added that there is something that is "awfully wrong" in Crow Country.
Players are tasked with trying to discover exactly what that something is as they take control of Special Agent Mara Forest. You will be able to explore the theme park and investigate its long-abandoned rides.
Crow Country features various puzzles and riddles that you need to solve in order to progress the campaign. You can also talk with the park's strange inhabitants and battle devilishly monstrous creatures that roam the area, according to Eurogamer.

It also has something if you want to focus your attention on the game's mysterious story and challenging puzzles instead of the battles.
You can choose to go with Exploration Mode. The game is filled with silly jokes and relatable one-liners that make it a surprisingly refreshing gaming experience.
While Crow Country includes many of the tropes and conventions that are typical of old-school horror, it doesn't really take itself too seriously. It's also not afraid to poke a little bit of fun at these tropes every now and then.
A "Cozy" Survival Horror Game
Crow Country also seems to draw inspiration from the aesthetics and horrific creatures seen in horror games from Sony's first PlayStation. These include Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Some people have also described the title as "cozy" despite it being a horror game, Engadget said.
This nature also adds to the game's horror feel by taking familiar seeming characters and placing them in the Lovecraft-ian atmosphere of terror and mystery. It was also included in some of the best horror games of the year.
With all of its givings, Crow Country was able to get a 98% positive score for the more than 3,000 reviews it has on Steam. This has left the game with an impressive "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating.
One of the appeals of Crow Country is that it also is not very long and many players will be able to complete the main campaign in several long sessions. This means that they can then move on to other games, according to Games Radar.
