Developer CI Games and Hexworks are working on various projects. These will include a Lords of the Fallen sequel and a Sniper Ghost Warrior.

The former is expected to be coming in 2026 and will be a sequel to Lords of the Fallen from 2023 which was a sequel to the original 2014 title. The upcoming game is currently called Project 3.

New Lords of the Fallen Game

It appears on a new CI Games strategy report and will supposedly run on Unreal Engine 5. The game will reportedly feature various gameplay improvements such as increased game mode optionality. It will also have a more commercial art style and narrative, and elevated production values.

The Lords of the Fallen sequel will also have a single-player campaign that has a "full-shared progression" co-op. Fans can expect to get more information about the project and a proper announcement sometime next year, according to Rock Paper Shotgun.

CI Games believes that the series has a lot of potential to become a hit among players. In its report, it described Lords of the Fallen from 2023 accounted for 72% of company revenue for the first half of 2024.

The studio also has another "major evergreen franchise" in Sniper Ghost Warrior that is expected to have another "major iteration" in 2027. CI Games is partnering with an unnamed external studio for this particular project.

The project seems to be targeting to have a strong appeal to both core and wider audiences through its first-person shooter and survival gameplay. The studio's other work is known as Project H from Underdog Studio, Eurogamer said.

CI Games is trying to take an overall "player-first development approach" and plans to focus on quality over quantity. Despite the success of the 2023 Lords of the Fallen, it initially launched with a lot of performance issues.

Making the Game More Accessible

The strategy report that the studio released noted that there was an official reveal planned for 2025 alongside a "strong marketing campaign." What is important to note about these is that they are internal goals that could change as time goes by.

In the report, CI Games said that one of its key goals was to enhance the game's accessibility across the video games industry. This is in order to draw a larger fan base for the upcoming title.

Hexworks plans to achieve this objective by introducing additional game modes and by making various gameplay improvements. It was also revealed that there is an exclusivity deal with Epic Games. This makes the title an Epic Store exclusive on PC, according to Insider Gaming.
