Two classic Japanese role-playing games are coming back with the Lunar Remastered Collection.

The originals were made by Game Arts. But GungHo Online Entertainment is responsible for working on the remastered versions. The collection will be available for consoles as well as PC via Steam.

The upcoming collection will have enhanced graphics and audio. It will also have various general improvements. The first game in the pack was released for the Sega CD in Japan in 1992 and in North America in 1993.

The second title was launched in Japan for the Sega CD in December 1994. It then released in North America in September 1995, according to Anime News Network. The remastered titles will also have a new widescreen mode and re-recorded English dialogue.

Sony has only shared some details about the Lunar Remastered Collection. These include its release date and what improvements it could feature. Since the original games' release, they have made an appearance on the Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable.

There have also been some titles in the franchise that were released for mobile devices for a more portable gaming experience. However, there has not been any new American version of Silver Star Story Complete since it came to iOS devices in 2012.

There has also been no American version of Eternal Blue since it was released in 2000 for the PlayStation. That means that the remastered collection is the first time that the classics are coming back to the West for nearly three decades, Game Spot said.

Various Improvements and New Features

When the original games were released in the 1990s, the franchise became a pioneer of its time. The series was frequently credited as being one of the first JRPGs to become highly popular among Western audiences.

The remastered collection also gives players the option to go with either the original visuals or enjoy the upgraded graphics. There is now also a toggle that lets you make battles go faster. This gives players more control over the pace of their adventure.

The developer also improved the strategy settings to make combat even more convenient and fun to play. The remastered collection marks a first for the series. This is with the addition of two languages; German and French, according to the PlayStation Blog.
