Sony Interactive Entertainment just shared new details about the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2024, including its full lineup and schedule.

The latest reveal comes after a preliminary announcement that came in August 2024. The Tokyo Game Show will run from Sept. 26, 2024, to Sept. 29, 2024. It will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

Sony's Tokyo Game Show 2024 Lineup

The games included in Sony's lineup for the upcoming event include Astro Bot. This particular title will have 10 demo stations at the Tokyo Game Show. The company will also talk about Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO and Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake.

Arguably the most anticipated title in the list is Capcom's Monster Hunter Wilds, which will have 40 demo stations at Tokyo Game Show 2024. Sony also revealed the schedule for its games during the event, according to Gematsu.

Sony will take the stage on the first day with Astro Bot Play! From 1:00 pm to 1:40 pm followed by the Let's Play Indie Games portion featuring Shuhei Yoshida. The latter will start at 3:00 p.m. and will end at 3:40 p.m.

On the second day, the studio will talk about some of the games on its lineup, particularly Silent Hill 2, Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, and Metaphor: ReFantazio. For the third day, Sony will have a special stage portion for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

There will also be a panel discussion on the game that will be available on the PlayStation 5. It will be led by game creator Hideo Kojima and Daichi Miura. They will be joined by Nicolas Winding Refn and several other guests.

Showcasing a Variety of Titles

The Tokyo Game Show event is one of the world's most celebrated expos. It focuses on video games, industry trends, and cutting-edge technology. It is Japan's flagship gaming event that has served as a mecca for gamers and industry professionals, JapanToday said.

However, many longtime attendees complained that the event has recently shifted its focus to lean too heavily on mobile games. They argue that it has lost some of its appeal, particularly for fans of traditional gaming.

Sony aims to take advantage of the event's reach and on its final day plans to showcase Monster Hunter Wilds. This is Capcom's highly anticipated new release for the franchise that builds on the foundation created by Monster Hunter World, according to VGChartz.
