MultiVersus released its patch notes for Season 3 that add new cosmetics, events, and buffs and nerfs to various characters in its roster.

The major thing about the game's newest season is the addition of the Powerpuff Girls to the list of playable characters. Samurai Jack came along with MultiVersus' Season 2 and the game later got balance updates.

The mid-season update also introduced Beetlejuice as well as more balancing and bug fixes. Developer Player First Games detailed in its patch notes what players can expect in the upcoming season.

The Powerpuff Girls will be available as the tier 1 reward of the game's premium battle pass track. This is how players can unlock new skins for a variety of other playable characters, such as Rick and Velma and many others, according to GameRant.

The battle pass for Season 3 also includes several rewards related to the Powerpuff Girls. The most notable of these are the Rowdyruff Boys skins. These cosmetics can be unlocked after level 70.

The 1.3.0 update also introduces the new Powerpuff GIrls-themed PvE Rift known as "Naptime is Over." This is a feature that is already accessible by all players and later this season will see the arrival of the PvE Rift "Batman Megamix."

The Season 3 balance changes affected a lot of different MultiVersus characters, including Batman and the Iron Giant. Some of these received major changes while others only got minor adjustments, said EventHubs.

On top of these, gems can be leveled up to 20 but the total maximum XP and maximum strength remain the same. Gems that players currently have will scale to their new level based on their current XP. Also, level 10 gems will scale to level 20 when Season 3 starts.

Various Changes and Adjustments

Furthermore, you will be able to unlock Rift difficulties based on total gem XP instead of the average level of the player's three highest-leveled gems. The patch also updated several level actors to support controller rumble feedback.

The addition of the Powerpuff Girls comes as there are rumors that DC Comics' Nubia will also make an appearance in MultiVersus. This character is very similar to Wonder Woman in both design and abilities, according to Esports.

The latest reveal comes as Player First Games has been teasing the new characters for quite some time now. The developer also shared silhouettes of the characters, which all but confirmed previous leaks.
