Goat Simulator is not done making you laugh at its expense. Developer Coffee Stain Studios is nearly done with patch 1.1, which will be offered for free in May to owners of the game. It will include a whole slew of new features, the most exciting of which is what they're calling Goat Parkour. That's right, your goat now knows how to freerun, and can jump off walls and flip up onto buildings with the greatest of ease. They've also included the ability for your goat to walk on its front two legs, which looks as absurd as you'd hope. Check out the video on the official Facebook page here.
As reported earlier this month, the 1.1 update will bring an entirely new playable map that will include a Ferris wheel that "you'll be able to overcharge with car batteries." What's more, the game will offer local splitscreen multiplayer that allows two to four goats to play together. Online multiplayer is apparently not possible because of physics synchronization issues across multiple computers, but splitscreen works fine. Or at least, as buggy as you'd expect it to- no more, no less.
Goat lovers will also find new achievements ("because why not"), new playable goats (like Tornado Goat, Shopping Goat, and Repulsive Goat), and the ability for a goat to ride a bike, if they can get it to work. Every bit of upcoming content for the game will be available for free.
Don't own Goat Simulator yet and/or deathly afraid of downloading digital products? Goat Simulator will soon be available at retail in the UK, via Koch Media. According to the release "[t]he fully edible* box contains all the point scoring goat destruction, Steam Workshop Support and bugs that are expected of the world's best-selling goat simulation game.
You can be a goat. In a box.
*the box is only edible to goats. You are not really a goat. Please do not eat the box."
Expect Goat Simulator to continue to be as insane as it wants to be through future updates.
