Fortnite just teased an upcoming limited-time event (LTM) that suggests the introduction of a Marvel-themed game mode.
Epic Games has added several different ways for players to enjoy the popular battle royale mode. These include some permanent game modes like "No Build" and "Reload" among others.
Fortnite's Upcoming LTM
Marvel has become one of Fortnite's most consistent recurring collaborations. Their partnership has led to many different characters from the comic book giant being added to Epic Games' title battle royale.
One example is Chapter 5 Season 4 which included skins based on Gwenpool, Mysterio, and many others. This season of Fortnite also added various exclusive locations based on Marvel properties, such as Castle Doom and Doomstadt, according to GameRant.
Fortnite's latest tease suggests the addition of a new limited-time event on Sunday morning. The news was made through Epic Games' official social media accounts. The tease simply says that the game will get a "New LTM on Tuesday."
The studio did not share any details regarding the event or the mysterious new game mode that could be coming to Fortnite. Leaker ShiinaBR also added that there is a new "Heroes vs. Villains" LTM that will coincide with the game's ongoing Marvel-themed season.

Epic Games' recent updates worked on making Fortnite more than just a battle royale. The studio introduced a lot of popular events and even launched spinoffs that can be accessed from the game's launcher, said Siege.
A recent datamine also claimed that some Chapter 2 mythics were added back into Fortnite's game files. Some that could be featured in the upcoming LTM could include Dr. Doom's Arcane Gauntlets, Dr. Doom's Mystical Bomb, and many others.
Potential Marvel-Themed Game Mode
Despite having a Sept. 17, 2024, release date, fans only have leaks and speculations to go on regarding what the LTM will include. Many fans are hoping that the Chapter 2 mythics will return as many people love them, according to Esports Illustrated.
Epic Games also teased other future updates that could be coming to Fortnite. The studio revealed that the Siphon mechanic will be coming back next year. This is part of a trial to test the feature for the Competitive game modes.
Various leaks and teasers also hinted at a variety of upcoming patches for the battle royale. These range from the potential return of Chapter 2 content to a major crossover with NASCAR. The latest LTM also comes as Epic Games also updated many of its spinoffs in the past few months, according to GameRant.
