Konami confirmed that it is working on Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 but noted that it is still trying to figure out how to handle ports of the "really big titles." in the franchise.

The confirmation was made during the second episode of the studio's Metal Gear Production Hotline series of live shows. There, series producer Noriaki Okamura faced a question regarding the second part of the compilation series. It started last year with Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1.

He said that they had HD ports of Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 but not for the first game in the series. Okamura added that the majority of the titles that were released after those three do not have a pre-existing HD port that they could use.

Okamura noted that some of the titles were in HD but they were all really big titles, which makes the situation have a set of issues. He added that all of these factors forced the studio to consider what it could actually do moving forward, according to the VideoGamesChronicle.

The series producer then confirmed that they will eventually do Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2. However, he said that they were worried about how the first compilation had a pretty rough launch period with a variety of issues being reported.

Okamura also acknowledged that players can only play Metal Gear Solid on PlayStation. This is despite the title being released more than a decade ago.

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 also had references to three games in the series. These are Metal Gear Solid 4, Metal Gear Solid 5, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

The first compilation collection is currently available for players on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, said VGChartz. While Konami has yet to reveal any details about Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2, fans are already speculating.

Some are also trying to guess which titles will be included in the second compilation collection of the highly popular franchise. Konami also teased more to come in Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 since October last year.

The studio also went so far as to tell its fans to "stay tuned" just last month. But for now, there is a remake titled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater that is set to arrive sometime this year. It could be what tides over fans of the franchise for now, according to IGN.
