#SteamSpotlight Superliminal Challenges You to Escape a Mind-Bending Dream World

It's #SteamSpotlight once more, bringing you what you have to know about the featured game from Steam for the day!

Puzzle games are aplenty on Steam, and while they can be very challenging to play and solve, they can be a whole lot of fun too. Today's feature is one such game.

There are definitely puzzles to solve, but there are also optical illusions and forced perspectives that will make things more difficult for you.

Without further ado, here's what you have to know about Superliminal.

Released on November 6, 2020, Superliminal is developed and published by Pillow Castle. It is a first-person puzzle game that challenges you to escape a dream. You'll find yourself in the first stages of an experimental deep therapy program, and everything in the dream is exactly as it seems.

But as we mentioned earlier, this game is full of optical illusions and forced perspectives, so you'll have to think outside the box so you can figure out how to solve the puzzles and escape the dream world.

Challenge Mode

If the normal mode of the game is not challenging enough for you, there is the Challenge Mode. In this mode, you will be scored per level based on certain metrics. These metrics include the time it takes you to finish, the number of jumps you've made, and so on.

Here is the launch trailer of the game so you can get better feel of what it's all about.

"The story is a bit hit-or-miss, but if nothing else Superliminal's ending sequence provides a genuinely useful and touching theme," BewareTheCap adds. "Very easy to recommend."

"Really cool puzzle game," says user Gonk Droid in a separate review. "The premise and puzzles seem very straightforward at first, but the later ones will start to mess with your head more."
