Baldur's Gate 3 features the Addled Frog, which is probably one of the most annoying NPCs that players can encounter throughout their playthrough.

When you engage with the little Addled Frog, it will respond to you if you can cast Speak With Animals to let you converse with it. However, this is not a conversation that goes as many players expect it to.

Players are recommended to interact with the Addled Frog after they have dealt with Auntie Ethel to expose a hidden treasure. Even if you try to converse with the NPC before this, it is lashing out at everything due to the intense pain caused by Auntie Ethel.

What Rewards can you get?
After you defeat or help the Hag, you can return to the Addled Frog and it will thank you for your assistance. Even if you do not defeat Auntie Ethel, the Addled Frog will still lead you to the treasure even if it is still cursed.
The rewards that you get for this particularly off-beat quest include some Gold, a Scroll of Detect Thoughts, and a Scroll of Shocking Grasp, said DualShockers.
What Happens Before Dealing With the Hag?
Players who choose to bug the Addled Frog one too many times before dealing with Auntie Ethel will instead find themselves being attacked by the small NPC. The little critter has a 22 Armor Class and a 20 to DEX, making it tough to hit and giving it a special condition that makes striking it much more difficult.
The Addled Frog's "Reflective Mucus" condition increases the creature's AC by 2 and also "reflects the first projectile flying towards it back at the attacker, after which the mucus is removed."
You should know that defeating the Addled Frog in battle only gives you one experience point and it does not drop anything. This makes the battle a much less useful method compared to helping it out, according to ScreenRant.
