Activision has shared a new multiplayer gameplay trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 ahead of the highly anticipated shooter's launch later this year.

This is the debut trailer for the upcoming game's multiplayer mode and comes as its beta is set to start its first of two beta phases this coming weekend. Both developer Treyarch and publisher Activision have finally given players a glimpse into the game's multiplayer component.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Multiplayer

One thing to note for the players who primarily play multiplayer in each Call of Duty game, it seems like the latest entry in the franchise could be a return to form in a major way. The new trailer lasted around two minutes and was, to say the least, chaotic.

The footage highlighted not only the fast-paced gameplay that will be seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 but also showed the variety of maps that are accessible in the multiplayer mode. Other features that were also seen include Killstreaks, omni-movement, new weapons, and others, according to ComicBook.

The first Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta will start on Aug. 30, 2024, and will last until Sept. 4, 2024, and will be available to players who pre-order the game. Then, the open beta will be scheduled for the following weekend for everyone and will run from Sept. 6, 2024, to Sept. 9, 2024.

One of the features highlighted in the new multiplayer trailer is omni-movement, which more or less allows players to spring, slide, jump, or otherwise move in any direction without actually facing it with the first-person camera.

Features in the Upcoming Game

This results in slick action-movie sequences that were shown in the recently revealed trailer, such as one player firing two pistols from an airborne supine position. The footage also gave weapon customization a closer look, said ReadWrite.

Other features that were shown off include underwater traversals as well as melee combat. There were also RC cars and other remotes that were seen that could bring a lot of variety to the 16 maps that will be available in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's multiplayer mode.

Another feature that was seen in the latest multiplayer gameplay trailer is classic prestige, which is a returning mechanic to the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is scheduled to launch on Oct. 25, 2025, and will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, according to Insider Gaming.
