We've got some bad news for anyone waiting for the early access release of Terminator: Survivors. Initially scheduled for launch on October 24, it has been announced that the launch will now be delayed to 2025.
No exact date as to when next year the release will be has been provided as of press time. Game developer Nacon Studio Milan and publisher Nacon made the announcement on social media, acknowledging the disappointment it brings to fans eagerly awaiting the early access release.
Reason Behind the Terminator: Survivors Delay
In the statement shared on social media, Nacon and Nacon Studio Milan explained the reason for the delay.
"To realize our vision, and to make sure to deliver the game that fits your expectations, we need some additional time," the statement reads. "Thus, we will be pushing the launch to 2025."
"We know that this will be a disappointment to many, but we want to do right by this universe, its fans, and our community," the statement adds.

What is Know About the Game So Far
Announced in 2022, Terminator: Survivors is set to be a multiplayer game that is set four years after the iconic Judgement Day from "The Terminator" franchise. However, in the timeline of the game, John Connor has yet to set up Skynet. It was eventually revealed that the game will be an open world one. On Steam, the game is tagged under action, adventure, and survival.
According to a report, creative director Marco Ponte said that the game "takes place in a yet unexplored timeline of the Terminator universe with a completely original storyline that includes both famous characters and new ones, and where you'll learn about the beginnings of John Connor's resistance."
