Bulbasaur Pioneers Pokemon GO's Big Update
A Pokémon GO update is really going to spice things up. Reports have surfaced saying that Bulbasaur will be the first Pokémon to actually show off new Dynamax and Gigantamax features, turning the little grass-type starter into a colossal presence on player screens.
This introduces Dynamax, which will allow Pokémon to temporarily increase their size to enormous proportions in battles to boost their power and change the effects of moves.
It's inspired by the latest main series games, Pokémon Sword and Shield, and will bring an entirely new level of strategy to the battles in Pokémon GO. Take that further with Gigantamax, this does more than just enlarge the Pokémon. It also changes their appearance and unlocks special moves called G-Max Moves.
Among the features that long-time fans of the game were looking out for were those which had first appeared on console games.
Big Changes Coming Soon
A new update is due to come with these forms for some of the most adored Generation 1 Pokémon, namely Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, Eevee, Butterfree, Machamp, and Kingler in the game's next season, due Sep. 3.
It makes sense that Bulbasaur is at the head of this feature, as long-time fans extremely favor it and maintain a special place within the Pokedex as number one. The community's reaction has been very positive, with players excitedly taking their best Bulbasaur into battle, hoping to see it finally evolve into a Gigantamax Venusaur.
These features have obviously been introduced as a follow-up to continuous efforts by Niantic, the developers of Pokémon GO, to include elements in the mobile game already known from the main series, such as improving gameplay and keeping the playing community busy.
The anticipation is high as players prepare for these new forms, which will probably be among the most dynamic updates yet.
