Updated Survival Mode

9-Bit Armies Survival mode challenges players to survive waves of enemies that get progressively tougher. Now, it comes with an inclusion of three difficulty levels: easiest, mid, and lastly, the harder ones where players hit milestones. Now, all can be played cooperatively with up to four players teamed to face the challenge. Moreover, an observer mode allows friends to watch the action.

Other notable changes include an interrupt timer that forces new waves regardless of defeat times for enemies, and a bug fix to prevent unfairly large enemy spawns. Besides, now players can review replays to analyze the gameplay for mistakes.

Visual Improvements and AI

Another update was aimed at the user interface of the build menu, which became much cleaner and easier to use. AI improvements have made enemies more fearsome with advanced tactics: better flanking, willingness to engage, smarter endgame strategies. AI avoids accidentally attacking its own units with superweapons now.

Aside from Petroglyph Games, who are currently working on a second campaign for 9-Bit Armies-the same studio responsible for games like Star Wars: Empire at War and Command and Conquer Remastered-this shall be released soon. Right now, though, the game is available on Steam, discounted at 25 percent off up until this Saturday, July 27, when it is priced at $18.21 / £12.56.
