New Aquatic Adventures
Planet Coaster 2, set to launch this fall, expands its gameplay horizon by incorporating water park construction alongside traditional theme park elements. Players will now have the ability to design and build expansive water attractions such as wave pools, lazy rivers, and customizable waterslides. These features aim to enrich the player experience by allowing intricate customization with amenities like changing rooms, sunbeds, and lifeguards.
Enhanced Tools and Features
Building upon its predecessor's success, Planet Coaster 2 introduces advanced building and pathing tools. Additionally, a sophisticated event sequencer system promises to deliver unique guest experiences. Players can expect a wealth of new rides, scenery pieces, and thematic elements to enrich their park-building adventures.
One of the standout features of Planet Coaster 2 is the ability to collaborate on park creation with friends. Although players cannot build simultaneously, they can take turns modifying shared parks. According to the developers, this approach allows builders to "jump one-at-a-time" into shared parks, preserving and building upon each other's contributions over time.
Game Modes and Platforms
Similar to its predecessor, Planet Coaster 2 will offer three distinct game modes: Career, Sandbox, and Challenge Mode. It will be compatible across multiple platforms including PC, Xbox Series X | S, and PlayStation 5 upon release later this year.
Players eager to delve deeper into Planet Coaster 2 can catch the first glimpse of gameplay on July 31, 2024. Subsequent updates and details will be unveiled monthly during Frontier Unlocked livestreams, promising a steady stream of information leading up to the game's launch.
