Modern Revival

Originally licensed and published by Bandai Namco, Sigma Star Saga will now be powered by Limited Run Games' Carbon Engine. Specific platforms and release dates will be announced soon. The game will feature a unique blend of top-down exploration and side-scrolling space battles.

Players will step into the shoes of Allied Earth Federation pilot Ian Recker, who infiltrates the alien Krill Empire as a double agent to save humanity. The game involves working with both humans and the Krill, exploring six planets, and engaging in intense shoot-'em-up combat with over 70 different Gun Data items.

Anticipated Release

The game boasts stunning pixel-art graphics, epic boss battles, and a story with multiple endings. Fans can expect additional details about Sigma Star Saga, including platform availability and news about physical editions, in the coming months. WayForward encouraged fans to stay tuned to their website and social media for more updates.

Sigma Star Saga's return has been eagerly awaited, and its modern release is set to captivate a new generation of players while rekindling the nostalgia of the original fans.
