Dragon Age: The Veilguard to Feature Advanced Transmog System at Launch

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will launch with an advanced transmog system, announced by BioWare. This new feature will allow players to customize their characters in more detail than ever before. The announcement was made during a recent visit to BioWare's Edmonton office, where game director Corinne Busche provided an in-depth look at the game's customization options.

Extensive Customization Options

The character creator in Dragon Age: The Veilguard offers hundreds of customization choices, from hair and body type to facial features. Players can also customize their armor, with Rook having slots for helmets, weapons, belts, amulets, and rings. The belt slot is particularly important, enhancing the potency of Rook's healing potions and adding special effects like temporary invulnerability.

Companions in the game also have their own armor and accessory slots. However, each piece of gear is specific to the character's class and role. For instance, armor designed for the Warrior-class Rook won't suit a Mage-class Rook. Similarly, armor for companions like Bellara Lutara cannot be used by other companions such as Lace Harding.

Robust Transmog System

A significant addition to Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the transmog system, which Busche describes as "robust." This system allows players to apply the stats of one piece of armor to another, ensuring that their characters can maintain their preferred look while benefiting from better stats. This feature is available for both Rook and their companions, ensuring everyone can look their best.

Although the exact workings of the transmog system were not shown, its inclusion reassures players that their characters can remain stylish throughout their journey. The transmog system is a highly anticipated feature, enhancing the game's customization and appeal. With this new system, players can look forward to a more personalized and visually satisfying experience in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
