New Features and Additions

The Rise of Ix expansion introduces six new leaders, new board spaces, and new tools for players. A key addition is the Dreadnoughts, a powerful military asset that helps players dominate their enemies.

Another notable feature is the infiltrators, which offer strategic advantages by allowing players to understand their opponents' actions better. Additionally, the Epic game mode, which is a lengthy experience in person, is now available digitally, making it more accessible for online play.

Developer's Announcement

Dire Wolf also revealed that cross-platform play would be available for Dune: Imperium later this summer. The Rise of Ix expansion is set to launch on Steam in the second half of July. The base game, Dune: Imperium, is currently on sale for $18.40 during the Summer Sale.

The developer highlighted that this digital adaptation is a successful addition to the modern Dune franchise, which has been revitalized by Denis Villeneuve's film adaptations.

Dune: Imperium is praised for its combination of worker placement and hidden information mechanics, achieved through a deck-building system. This expansion aims to build on that success by offering more depth and variety to players. Fans of the game can look forward to exploring new strategies and challenges with the Rise of Ix expansion this July.
