Horror is one of the most famous video game genres to ever exist, and through the years, it has branched out to many subgenres. These subgenres include survival horror and psychological horror. Today's #SteamSpotlight feature falls into the latter.

In this game, you don't get any weapons. You don't get to fight back. But even with such circumstances, you need to help yourself and your crew survive an unimaginable horror.

Released on June 18, 2024, Still Wakes the Deep is developed by The Chinese Room and published by Secret Mode. It is a psychological horror game set in 1975.

Your character is an oil rig worker off the coast of Scotland. Due to a very bad storm, there is suddenly no escape and communication lines have been cut off. However, you eventually realize that the oil rig is no longer safe due to an unknown horror that is now aboard.

Your survival as well as the life of your crew all depend on you.

No Weapons to Fight Back

As previously mentioned, you don't get to have any weapons as you to try to fight this unknown horror. All you can do is avoid it, sneak around it, and even try to distract it.

You don't get to have any superpower or special ability as well. All you can do is run, climb, and swim in your quest for survival.

Still Wakes the Deep has more than 1,700 user reviews on Steam as of press time. These reviews are generally described by Steam as "Very Positive."
