Destiny 2 Blocks Rewards in Private Crucible Matches Over Exploit Concerns

Issue with Private Matches

Bungie's decision to halt rewards in private Crucible matches stems from an undisclosed issue, although speculation among the community points to a glitch that facilitates unintended item farming. Players, exploiting this loophole, could accrue rewards effortlessly, even while away from their gaming setups.

"This exploit is game-breaking," stressed Cheese Forever, a well-known content creator in the Destiny 2 community, in a video outlining the issue. "It allows you to obtain everything you want without even needing to play actively."

Shortly after community speculation began circulating, Bungie made an official announcement echoing concerns over the exploit. "Due to an issue, earning rewards from private crucible matches has been disabled," the statement read, aligning closely with predictions made by vigilant players.

Some players expressed frustration at the sudden change. "Let us have this for a while," pleaded one disappointed Guardian. "It doesn't harm anyone; we're just trying to enhance our gear to enjoy the game more."

As of now, Bungie has not disclosed when rewards for private Crucible matches will be reinstated. This has prompted questions from fans regarding the necessity of rewards in non-competitive settings.

Future of Destiny 2

Looking ahead, Destiny 2 enthusiasts eagerly anticipate upcoming changes promised by Bungie. Following the conclusion of its decade-long storyline with The Final Shape expansion, the game is set to transition to a new format. Bungie plans to introduce three substantial episodes annually, each featuring distinct narratives divided into multiple acts.

The recent expansion, Echoes, which launched in June, continues the storyline immediately after The Final Shape.
