New Questline and Roguelite Endgame Mode

A standout feature of the upcoming season is the introduction of a gripping new questline. Players will delve deeper into the narrative following the main storyline, navigating through shifting alliances and unexpected alliances emerging from the shadows. This questline will be accessible in both the seasonal realm and the Eternal realm, offering persistent engagement beyond the season's conclusion.

Accompanying this narrative expansion is the highly anticipated roguelite endgame activity known as Infernal Hordes. Set amidst the treacherous landscape of Hell, Infernal Hordes pits players against relentless waves of Hellspawn. Surviving these intense 90-second waves becomes increasingly challenging as players gather Burning Aether to unlock powerful new gear.

To embark on this perilous journey, adventurers must acquire a Compass, akin to Nightmare Dungeons' Sigils, which grants entry into Hell's depths. The Compass features eight tiers of escalating difficulty and rewards, adjusted according to the player's World Tier. As players progress, they can enhance their Compasses using Abyssal Scrolls, enhancing their capabilities in facing the infernal onslaught.

Confronting the Fell Council

The ultimate trial within the Infernal Hordes awaits in the form of the Fell Council. Comprising five formidable adversaries, this council presents a randomized selection of three members in each encounter, each wielding unique abilities. Overcoming these powerful foes grants access to the Spoils of Hell, including equipment upgrades, materials, gold, and guaranteed items with enhanced affixes.

Beyond these headline additions, the PTR for Diablo 4 Season 5 introduces an impressive roster of 50 new Legendaries and Uniques. Additionally, extensive class balancing updates aim to refine gameplay across all character archetypes. A significant quality-of-life improvement allows players to re-summon defeated bosses without needing to reset entire dungeons, enhancing replayability and progression efficiency.
