Microsoft Flight Simulator has released City Update 8, bringing a significant graphical upgrade to Las Vegas. This update follows City Update VII: European Cities II, released less than a month ago. Using high-resolution aerial imagery and other advanced techniques, the development team has transformed the visual experience of flying over "The Entertainment Capital of the World."

Las Vegas Gets a Major Upgrade
Las Vegas, located in the Mojave Desert of southern Nevada, now features incredible detail in the game. Players can see iconic hotels, The Luxor Sky Beam, and the Las Vegas Sphere up close.
The developer stated in the Flight Simulator blog, "Microsoft Flight Simulator City Update VIII brings Las Vegas and its myriad facets alive like never before in the world." The update uses the latest high-resolution aerial imagery, digital elevation model data, and TIN surface texturing to create a highly realistic view of the city.
Availability and Future Updates
City Update 8: Las Vegas is now available as an optional download. It can be accessed on PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox and PC Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming via Game Pass Ultimate. Players need to have the game version 1.37.19.0 or higher to install the update. The update is free and can be found in the in-game marketplace.
In addition to this update, the next entry in the franchise, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, now has a release date of November 19. This was announced during the recent Xbox Games Showcase, generating excitement among fans for what's to come.
