Why Are Some Helldivers 2 Fans Unhappy?
As reported by N4G, Helldivers 2 crashes occur when using the FAF-14 Spear missile launcher. Players discussed the problem on Arrowhead Game Studios' official Discord channel, where Community Manager Twinbeard responded. "Yes," he wrote, "there are crashes associated with the Spear at the moment. We're investigating it. It seems the Spear is cursed."
While Twinbeard's comment addressed the issue, players questioned why Arrowhead couldn't disable the Spear temporarily. The main concern was that crucial updates were shared on Discord, a platform not all players use. "Discord needs to stop being the main source of Helldivers 2 news and updates," a user named Sandwichgod wrote on Reddit.
They argued that many players would miss important information shared only on Discord. Sandwichgod suggested that Arrowhead post these announcements within the game itself or use a non-functional terminal for updates.
Community Reactions to Discord Communication
Several Helldivers 2 players supported Sandwichgod's complaint. Some pointed out that many players probably don't know who Twinbeard is. Other users expressed their dislike for the Discord platform, noting that while it's good for direct communication, it's not ideal for finding specific information.
Players are calling for a more inclusive and accessible way to receive updates, ensuring everyone stays informed about important issues and changes in the game. Arrowhead Game Studios has yet to comment on these suggestions, but it remains to be seen if they will adjust their communication strategy in response to player feedback.
