A New Take on Soulslike Games

Deathbound is described as "a one-of-a-kind party-based soulslike set in a callous world where Faith and Science clash." This game combines familiar challenging gameplay with stylized visuals and introduces a four-hero party system. This system blends elements of traditional RPGs with the real-time combat seen in games from FromSoftware and its followers.

The focus in Deathbound is on "individual characters with their own unique skill sets, combat styles, and rich history." Players can "absorb" these characters, unlocking new combat possibilities and synergies. The relationships between these characters must be managed carefully, as they can provide critical buffs during difficult encounters. When combat reaches its peak, players can unleash a powerful "Morphstrike" using the combined strength of the bound fallen warriors.

A Unique Blend of Brazilian Influence

Trialforge Studio has infused much of their homeland of Brazil's culture into Deathbound. This results in a vibrant world, sweeping music, and rhythmic combat, helping the game stand out from the numerous soulslike titles released frequently. The latest overview trailer gives a clear picture of what players can expect in the world of Ziêminal.

Deathbound is planned for release later in 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. A demo is available now on Steam for those eager to try it out.
