There is also a mega bundle that features all three packages, known as Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece that also has the same 31% discount. For fans of the series who opt to get the mega bundle, it will be priced at only $68.99 from $99.99.

The Kingdom Hearts franchise is a collection of role-playing games that were created with the collaboration of Square Enix and Disney.

The first game debuted on PlayStation 2 in March 2002 and has since appeared on various platforms and sold more than 33 million units, according to the Video Game Chronicle.

The collection on Steam also comes as Kingdom Hearts 4 is the latest game in the franchise and was first announced in April 2022. This was during a Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary event that was held in Tokyo, Japan.

Square Enix said that the latest entry in the series will mark the beginning of an "epic new storyline" that is known as the "Lost Master Arc." The game will have players visiting Quadratum, which was described by the studio as a "large, expansive city" that is set in a beautiful and realistic world.

The debut trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4 also showed that Sora's Disney companions Donald and Goofy will be returning. This is on top of showcasing the first appearance of Strelitzia, who was said to be a "mysterious new character" who appears before the main character in the strange new setting.

A Long Awaited Update

The decision to bring several Kingdom Hearts games to Steam also benefits people who have the Steam Deck. This is primarily because the console is one of the best handheld gaming PCs that can be bought, said PCGamesN.

However, a major issue when playing games on storefronts outside of Steam is compatibility. New images that were revealed alongside the launch of the Kingdom Hearts games on Valve's gaming platform suggest that they work as intended on the handheld console.

During the Summer Games Fest, a photo posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, showed that Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 run perfectly well on the Steam Deck. It was also confirmed that the cutscenes were good to go, which was previously the main issue for players running the game on the handheld.

The coming of the Kingdom Hearts games on Steam has been an arduous wait for three long years for fans of the franchise. It also follows the end of Square Enix's exclusivity deal with the Epic Games Store.

Despite featuring several games in the series, the latest bundles do not include all of the titles in the franchise throughout its long history, according to Kotaku.
