Lego Fortnite is Adding Two New Modes for Casual and Hardcore Gamers

Lego Fortnite is adding two brand-new modes that will cater to both casual and hardcore gamers alike; the laidback Cozy Mode and the permadeath Expert Mode.

Epic Games is now preparing to deliver a new update to Lego Fortnite that will launch on June 13, 2024. The latest patch will expand the brick-based survival mode with two new difficulty settings that give something to players at both ends of the spectrum.

The first of the new content is the Cozy Mode, which was designed to offer a much more relaxed experience for players to enjoy without worrying too much about anything. The default settings in this mode give players a smattering of combat to keep them on their toes.

However, enemies have been set to easy and all survival meters, meaning hunger, temperature, and stamina, have been disabled entirely. Epic Games explained that whether you are a beginner survivor or a builder who likes a little bit of thrill, the new Cozy Mode is for you, according to Eurogamer.

The studio said that in this mode, you can create a world and get greeted by Slumber, who is a friendly face who will guide you through your journey every step of the way. This is something that is the polar opposite of the other new modes added to the game.

The Expert Mode is designed for fearless players who want to really challenge their skills in Lego Fortnite. The core features of this new mode are the new Stor-Wild enemies, which are new foes that do more damage, take more beating, and move faster compared to standard creatures.

On top of this, the new mode also gives the latter a boost, which increases their strength compared to the standard mode. But the permadeath mechanic is probably the most challenging feature of the new mode.

When players lose all of their health points when Expert Mode is turned on, they will be permanently eliminated from that particular world. This means that the new item, the Totem of Return, is crucial to get you out of a bad situation, said Fortnite.

Brand New Trophies

Expert Mode's challenges can reward players who are brave enough to face the dangers with three different trophies. These are the Grasslands Trophy, Dry Valley Trophy, and the Frostlands Trophy. Each of these can be unlocked by defeating certain Storm-Wild enemies.

The Grasslands Trophy can be acquired by beating a Storm-Wild Brute in the Grasslands and then interacting with a Level 10 Grasslands Village. On the other hand, the Dry Valley Trophy can be acquired by defeating a Storm-Wild Sand Brute and then interacting with a Level 10 Dry Valley Village.

Lastly, the Frostlands Trophy is something that players can get by defeating a Storm-Wild Frost Brute and then interacting with a Level 10 Frostlands Village. The latest update also brings more upgraded Lego styles for skins.

These are characters that are getting dedicated Lego versions with extra detail in the latest patch. Some of these are Agente Colorado, Airheart, Beach Brutus, Blitz, Blockade Runner, Dante, and many more, according to ESports.
