Indiana Jones and The Great Circle Releases New Teaser Trailer for Upcoming Mystery Adventure

Bethesda and video game developer Machine Games released a new teaser trailer for their upcoming game, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle that brings a new Himalayan adventure for fans to enjoy.

The recent footage, showcased during the Xbox Games Showcase, gave players another glimpse into the latest entry in the franchise. The team shared a look at what it calls a "pivotal cinematic" that features Indy and his sidekick Gina.

The official blurb for the game reads, "Grab your hat and whip and prepare to embark on an epic, globetrotting adventure in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle."

It notes that you can become the legendary archaeologist to face off against sinister forces as you fight your way to uncover the truth behind one of history's greatest mysteries.

Developer Machine Games and Bethesda did not share a release date for the upcoming game and the current line is that it is coming at some point later this year. When the game actually launches, it will be available for Xbox Series X/S and PC and is a day-one title with Game Pass, according to Eurogamer.

In the latest trailer, it is shown that Indy and Gina are checking out a shipwrecked battleship for a potential clue before they are intercepted by a Nazi party. The main character then gets captured and the leader of the opposing group threatens him while taking potshots at him and American culture as a whole.

Suddenly, Gina helps Indy to escape and things get complicated when the battleship they are on starts to teeter off the mountain. It seems like Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is influenced by Uncharted and the Tomb Raider games.

The trailer also showed a lot of whip usage, beautiful locales, menacing-looking henchmen, and Nazis repeatedly getting punched in the face.

Previously, Machine Games talked up the new game's faithfulness to its source material and the latest footage showed that the studio is working to make it a definitive Indy game, said Gizmodo.

A New Teaser Trailer

Most of the recently released footage focused on the cutscene that happens after a brief first-person game moment. There was very little time devoted to actually showing off gameplay footage of the game itself.

While the footage also showed Indy and Gina in the frozen landscapes of the Himalayas, the game will feature an adventure across the world, including the Vatican and Egypt. Throughout your adventure, you will have to find and collect mysterious and powerful artifacts.

Machine Games is known for its love of high-stakes action and incredible set pieces and moments such as when the battleship teeters off the mountain are reminders that wits are not the only things that Indy has in his arsenal.

The hero will sometimes have to rely on his fists, whip, gun, and the occasional grenade to survive the dangers that await him.

Game director Jerk Gustafsson said that working with Indiana Jones makes them want to pull experience from the wide range of set pieces that made people go "Wow!" when they were kids, according to Bethesda.
