Tiny Glade Developer Thanks Players for 'Heartwarming Reception' to Free Steam Demo

Tiny Glade developer Pounce Light issued a thank you to players for their "heartwarming reception" to the recently released free Steam demo.

The game is perfect for players who just want to enjoy a relaxing weekend afternoon by sitting back with a long drink and doodling around. Tiny Glade features the same elements as Terraria and Minecraft but also takes inspiration from games such as Summerhouse.

Pound Studio's newest title offers a simple and beautiful gaming experience that gives players access to powerful tools in a way that somehow feels magical. Some players who have already been able to dive into Tiny Glade's free demo said that it was delightful how quickly everything clicked into place.

Tiny Glade is a relaxing building game that focuses on players creating castles, which have a magical feel with pieces slotting perfectly into place with a brush of your mouse.

You can also quickly flip between walls, towers, paths, flowers, and all the smaller trinkets and accouterments that are found within the game, according to PCGamesN.

The parts that you place will adjust and adapt as you add more items in, with walls forming into tunnels if you draw a road through the middle. The towers also stretch and elongate as you drag them into position.

Tiny Glade has a similar feel to when players create their characters in a title like The Sims 4 and even goes as far as letting you tweak the very ground itself. It also features an editing tool that lets players quickly adjust the material and color of individual parts.

On the other hand, the eraser can be set to only target specific object types to let you quickly strip out any mistakes without damaging or affecting any other parts of your creation. Another noteworthy feature is that the items will readapt to match the changes that you make in real-time.

When players get into Tiny Glade, the game immediately feels touchable and has a smooth creation process that flows from the mouse to the screen. There is also a day and night system that ticks away in the background as you build your castle to your liking, said PCGamer.

A Cozy and Heartwarming Builder

Fortunately, the change in time doesn't actually affect anything about the gameplay and you can continue with your work without having to manage efficiency, unlike other games.

The free-flow building system lets players figure out by themselves how to position everything as they want and how some items affect others.

The much anticipated cozy building game was wishlisted more than 50,000 times on Steam before the release of the free demo. The game features no combat, no story, and no direct objectives, just building whatever you want.

The coding for Tiny Glade's development is headed by Anastasia Opara and Tomasz Stachowiak. They both have an impressive history of working in game development and have had a hand in works by Electronic Arts and Creative Assembly.

Anastasia also shared a video on TikTok early on in the design process for Tiny Glade that was able to garner more than 9 million views and 1 million likes. This led to the duo spending more time on their project, according to Destructoid.
