Astro Bot, the lovable platforming mascot, is gearing up for another adventure, and this time, it's bringing along a whopping 150 iconic PlayStation character cameos. The upcoming game, simply titled Astro Bot, promises to be a treasure trove for fans of PlayStation history, with nods to legendary characters from the past 30 years.

A Surpassing Number of Cameos
According to the recently unveiled store listing, players can look forward to rescuing over 150 VIP Bots inspired by iconic PlayStation characters. This impressive roster of cameos triples the number featured in Astro Bot's previous outing, "Astro's Playroom."
The predecessor, which was included as a pre-installed game on every PS5 console, charmed players with its innovative use of the DualSense controller and its nostalgic references spanning five generations of gaming. "Astro's Playroom" featured over 50 Easter Eggs and cameos from gaming history, setting a high bar for its successor.
A Nod to PlayStation's Rich History
In "Astro's Playroom," players encountered nods to beloved PlayStation-owned series like Uncharted and God of War, as well as iconic third-party games such as Tomb Raider and Crash Bandicoot. The sequel promises to expand on this homage, offering players the chance to interact with familiar faces across 80 planets and six galaxies.
While the game's reveal trailer showcased several VIP bots, some fans noted the absence of the Bloodborne Hunter, a character featured in "Astro's Playroom." This omission has sparked speculation among enthusiasts, with many hoping for a reference to the popular FromSoftware title in the upcoming game.
Astro Bot is scheduled to release on PS5 on September 6.
