Arrowhead Studios, the developers of Helldivers 2, have promised to fix a new mission that players are calling "broken" due to its extreme difficulty. The mission requires players to inject Dark Fluid into the planet Meridia to destroy the Terminid Supercolony. While the objective sounds straightforward, the execution has proven to be nearly impossible, causing frustration among the gaming community.

Players Face Unplayable Challenge
In Helldivers 2, players are accustomed to tackling tough missions that require precision, strategy, and teamwork. However, the new mission added on Thursday, May 30, 2024, seems to have gone too far. Regardless of the chosen difficulty level, players are overwhelmed by swarms of flying enemies dealing excessive damage. A video posted on the game's subreddit highlights the overwhelming number of enemies filling the sky, leaving players with no place to hide or retreat.
Developers Promise Quick Fix
The good news is that Arrowhead Studios is aware of the issue and is working on a solution. In a message on the Helldivers 2 Discord server and a Reddit post, a developer known as Baskinator thanked players for reporting the spawning bug and assured them that a hotfix is in the works and will be released soon.
Despite the swift response, many players are puzzled about how such a significant bug could have slipped through the cracks and are calling for more thorough quality control in the future.
This is not the first time Arrowhead has faced criticism over balancing issues and post-release updates. Players are eagerly awaiting the hotfix to restore balance and make the mission playable. As Helldivers prepare to reattempt the mission on Meridia, they hope to find a more manageable number of enemies and a fairer challenge.
