Final Update and Hibernation
On May 29, studio co-owner Nate Austin shared a statement on the official Wildermyth social media channels. He explained that with the successful launch of the Omenroad DLC on May 16, Worldwalker Games will say goodbye to many of its team members and pause its creative work.
Although the Omenroad DLC has been well-received, Austin confirmed that no new projects are planned, and the studio will not be actively developing new content for Wildermyth.
Continued Support
While entering hibernation is unusual compared to the more common complete shutdown of studios, Worldwalker Games has chosen this path due to its independence from investors. This allows the studio to pause its work without closing entirely.
During this period, the studio will continue to support Wildermyth by porting it to other platforms, fulfilling its soundtrack Kickstarter, and providing French and Spanish translations for the Omenroad DLC. They will also maintain social media, support emails, and merchandise sales.
Wildermyth has been praised for its dynamic storytelling and innovative tactical combat, earning a strong following among RPG fans worldwide.
