Launch Issues and Immediate Response
Wuthering Waves launched this week but faced a wave of complaints. Players reported severe lag, frame-rate drops, crashes, and even overheating devices. Kuro Games quickly responded with an emergency patch to address the worst issues. To further appease players, Kuro is now offering valuable in-game gifts.
New Features and Player Compensation
Kuro Games announced that an upcoming update will allow players to skip most of the story content. The goal is to give players "more control of your gameplay." This change responds to player complaints about lengthy cutscenes. Unlike Genshin Impact, which does not allow skipping cutscenes, Wuthering Waves is making this option available.
To compensate for the rocky launch, Kuro is giving all players 10 Radiant Tides and one 5-star Standard Resonator voucher. These gifts include some of the rarest characters in the game, giving players a strong start. Additionally, Kuro plans to add the Companion Story for Resonator Yinlin soon, following an exploit that allowed early access to her character. The company also promises further improvements to combat for a better gameplay experience.
