The competitive realm of PvPvE extraction dungeon crawlers is witnessing a surge of contenders, with Dungeon Stalkers joining the fray alongside its rival Dungeonborne. Developed by Korean studio Action Square, Dungeon Stalkers presents a visually stunning multiplayer RPG experience where darkness serves as an ally rather than a foe. Today marks the launch of a free playtest on Steam, inviting players to explore the game's latest additions including a new character, equipment crafting, an additional game mode, and even dance emotes.

Exploring the Depths of Dungeon Stalkers
In Dungeon Stalkers, players embark on an adventure within dark dungeons where the shadows conceal both treasures and dangers. Unlike traditional dungeon crawlers, here, brighter areas pose higher risks as they attract formidable foes. Players assume the role of "stalkers," faced with the decision to collaborate with fellow adventurers for greater loot or engage in cutthroat competition to seize riches. Adding to the challenge are the Witch's curses, strategically placed by the dungeon's malevolent master.
What to Expect in the Playtest
The latest playtest, commencing today, introduces Summoner Rene, a vampire character with unique abilities. Players can deploy Rene in the standard dungeon mode or test their skills in the new combat-focused battleground mode, Supremacy.
Moreover, Dungeon Stalkers now offers an expanded gear system with the introduction of necklaces, rings, and pants. Crafting enthusiasts will appreciate the new equipment crafting and reforging tools, empowering them to customize their loadouts for optimal performance.
Action Square has fine-tuned Dungeon Stalkers based on previous feedback, enhancing gameplay with faster normal attacks and the ability to replace damaged armor mid-run. Increased frequency of Witch's curses and a swifter-closing Blood Veil heighten the game's intensity, keeping players on their toes.
Daily quests provide additional objectives, while a lobby customization feature allows players to personalize their virtual spaces. And for those who enjoy a bit of flair, new dance emotes enable players to express themselves even in the darkest depths of the dungeon.
Join the Adventure
The Dungeon Stalkers playtest kicks off today at 6pm PDT / 9pm EDT and will run until Sunday May 26 at 7am PDT / 10am EDT. To participate, interested players can simply visit the game's Steam store page and download the demo version.
