Palworld Reportedly Gearing Up for Update Announcement Next Month, Could Include New Pals

Pocketpair, the developer behind the highly popular monster-tamer action RPG game Palworld, just teased that it is gearing up for an announcement next month for "long-awaited features."

The studio said that these upcoming features are things that players would definitely not "want to miss." The situation comes after the developer posted on social media where it teased that the viral game will be stopping by at the Summer Game Fest scheduled for next month with "a LOT of exciting things to reveal."

But as for what exactly those things are, Pocketpair has sadly not given fans any idea as to what they are planning to reveal next month. However, many players have already started to speculate and are hoping for a lot of various changes and content additions.

These include a fix to the fall-through-the-floor issue that many players on Xbox have been experiencing as well as possible new variants of old Pals. The latter has been teased in a previous image. Fans are also hoping that the game will finally be released on PlayStation, according to Eurogamer.

Some of the newer Pals added to the game do not seem to have taken much inspiration from Nintendo's Pokemon franchise but still fit the aesthetic of Palworld. When the game was first released, fans were quick to compare Pals with Pokemon which ultimately led to The Pokemon Company issuing a statement.

In it, the company said that it would investigate Palworld for any possible copyright infringement, which prompted Pocketpair to respond by saying that it had "no intention" of being found legally at fault for any similarity between it and other other popular pocket monster franchises.

There were two new Pal variants that were teased by Pocketpair in a recent post on X, formerly known as Twitter, which seem to be Wixen Noct and Katress Ignis. This sparked rumors that there could be more variants of existing Pals that will be coming to the game in the near future.

Teasing Potential New Content

The upcoming announcements scheduled for the Summer Game Fest could include information about a few new Pals that were previously teased in a video.

These include the frog-like Pal that has a blackbelt, an ostrich Pal, the dinosaur Pal with a mushroom growing out of its head, and the dog-like Pal that has a hat, said Dexerto.

The developer could also give players a glimpse of the new area for the map that features lush cherry blossom trees and includes new weapons, such as a flamethrower. On top of these, players should not forget about the planned PvP arena that Pocketpair previously revealed.

Since its release, Pocketpair has not only provided constant updates to its game but has also implemented a variety of bug fixes and adjustments. Many fans are now talking about the future of Palworld as the game is still in early access.

With all of these new and constant updates for the game, the developer is looking to give players a bright future with Palworld after being one of the year's biggest hits, according to GameRant.
