Group Ironman and New Bosses
A decade after Ironman was first introduced, Jagex is launching Group Ironman. This new mode will make the game more social by allowing players to share storage and trade with each other, a feature that was previously missing in Ironman. Although the exact release date is not confirmed, Group Ironman is expected to arrive in the fall.
In addition to Group Ironman, a new boss named Osseous will be introduced this month. Osseous is the fourth Rex Matriarch and presents a mid-level challenge that follows the dinosaur-themed content released in 2021. This boss, which is weak to Necromancy, will require players to team up with an archaeologist to defeat her. A detailed reveal of Osseous is scheduled for May 22, with her official release on May 28.
New Skilling Content and Story Quests
Several new skilling content updates are planned. This summer, updates for Mining and Smithing will be released, followed by Woodcutting and Fletching in the fall. These updates will introduce new resources, equipment, and items to create. Between these updates, a new skilling boss will be introduced. This boss will tie into the main storyline and the new Sanctum of Rebirth dungeon, along with new story quests.
Two new story quests will continue the main storyline, following the events of Requiem for a Dragon. One of these quests will be released alongside the new skilling boss, with the other planned for the winter.
In June, Daemonheim will be added as a new Archaeology dig site. This site will feature content for levels 73 to 87 and 103 to 113, including new mysteries, artifacts, and a new relic power. Players can also expect improved graphics for the area.
In July, the new Sanctum of Rebirth boss dungeon will be introduced. Designed for one to four players, this dungeon offers Normal and Hard difficulty levels and contains three bosses, along with rewards between each encounter. This dungeon may also lead to the new T95 Magic Duel Wield weapons.
Jagex is seeking community input on these updates and other major decisions, including content and rewards. To explain this community-oriented approach, Jagex will host a special stream this Friday.
