For now, there is a Kickstarter campaign that is looking to raise more than $100,000 that has gone live. The official description of Alzara: Radiant Echoes says that players will have to restore peace to a world that has been torn apart.

The game is a 3D turn-based RPG that was inspired by classic Japanese titles and combines the elements to unleash spectacular attacks. Players will also have to solve magical puzzles and bring the world together.

The key features found in Alzara: Radiant Echoes are a four-character party system that you will bring on a journey inside a stunning world. Players will take control of Kayla, who has access to elemental magic, and her allies to fight against the invading forces of Vedores, according to Gematsu.

Alzara: Radiant Echoes features intense and strategic turn-based battles that allow you to swap between heroes to combine elemental magic and unleash devastating attacks. You can also make offerings to gain favors and summon Legends to defeat your foes.

The mature and relatable story that is told by the game features mysterious elemental entities that are simply known as Zals who answer to humans' prayers. Players will lead the Resistance against the merciless invasion that is being led by the neighboring nation.

The developer, Studio Camelia, also partnered and collaborated with Japanese artists to bring the project to life. These are renowned composer Motoi Sakuraba and main character designer Yoshiro Ambe.

A Tribute to Classic JRPGs

Alzara: Radiant Echoes is Studio Camelia's debut title and the studio was set up in 2021 by CEO and creative director Emma Delage.

She had previously worked at Ubisoft and had a hand in various titles such as the Ghost Recon franchise, Watch Dogs Legion, Beyond Good & Evil 2, and many others, said GamesIndustry.

It has been more than a decade since Delage has come into the gaming industry and she has a background in marketing, business strategy, and production. She is a lifelong JRPG fan and has dreamed of starting her own studio since she was a kid.

She added that she had gone through her entire career with only that one particular goal in mind. Delage first started working at indie studios in 2012 before moving on to Square Enix for a while and then to Ubisoft.

One thing to note about Delage's latest project is that the world within Alzara: Radiant Echoes seems very much rooted in real-world locations.

This is a sharp contrast to most JRPGs which are typically set in fantasy universes or far-off worlds that leave very little chance for players to relate, according to PCGamesN.
