The Ultimate Guide to Upgrading Artifacts in Solo Leveling: Arise

Solo Leveling: Arise offers many ways to boost your total power. This power depends on Sung Jinwoo and three other hunters you can equip to assist him on various missions. While Sung Jinwoo has unique traits, all characters can equip artifacts, which play a crucial role in increasing their strength.

Weapons are specific to either Sung or other hunters, but artifacts are universal. Any character on your roster can use any artifact. Artifacts come in sets, and equipping four from the same set gives additional bonuses.

How to Enhance Artifacts in Solo Leveling: Arise

To enhance artifacts, navigate to the Artifacts menu from the main menu. Here, you'll see all the artifacts you own, which come in different rarities that boost stats more significantly at higher levels. Select the artifact you want to enhance and click "Enhance" at the bottom right of the screen.

You can choose how many times to enhance your gear, up to a maximum of 20 tries. The enhancement process is automatic and continues until the desired rank is reached or you run out of resources.

Unlike weapon upgrades, artifact enhancement has a success rate. Each successful tier increases the difficulty for the next, as the Enhancement Rate decreases by 5% per successful level. This makes higher levels progressively harder to achieve.

Failed enhancements cost gold and Artifact Enhancement Chips but also make the next attempt 1% easier. This bonus resets after a successful enhancement. There are 20 enhancement levels, after which you need to find a better artifact.

Where to Get Artifact Enhancement Chips

Artifact Enhancement Chips are mainly obtained through gates. Completing gates rewards you with both tier 1 and tier 2 chips. After clearing a gate, mine it for Mana Crystals, which can be exchanged for Artifact Enhancement Chips in the Exchange Shop. You can also trade for Advanced Mana Crystals here. In the crafting menu, combine tier 1 Artifact Enhancement Chips with Advanced Mana Crystals to create tier 2 chips.

By following these steps, you can effectively enhance your artifacts and significantly boost your power in Solo Leveling: Arise.
