Starsand Island is an upcoming farming life simulator game on Steam that is expected to release in Q4 2025 and mixes Stardew Valley with Studio Ghibli-inspired graphics.
The new game was announced by Creativision Studio and will be available for PC and will feature social elements and environmental features that can be interacted with. The release window for Starsand Island puts it somewhere between October 2025 and December 2025.
Starsand Island Features a Studio Ghibli-Inspired World
An official description Starsand Island welcomes players to a tranquil island farming simulation game where they can embark on a leisurely pastoral life on their very own island. It features warm sunshine, soft sands, lush meadows, gentle windmills, friendly townsfolk, affectionate dolphins, and much more.
It adds that you will be able to gather treasures from the sea, witness the growth of your crops, fish in abundant waters, and discover various minerals and tropical plants. In Starsand Island, there is a town that is home to more than 40 unique NPCs, according to ComicBook.
Each of these characters has their own story that you can uncover and you can even build meaningful relationships with them and possibly find a life partner. The residents will also respond to players' actions with daily greetings and care. They will grant you a true sense of belonging and the warmth of home within the island community.
The game's Steam page shows that Starsand Island is a debut game for Creativision Studio, which is also publishing the upcoming title. There is currently not much known about the team behind the game, which is presumably relatively small.

For now, Starsand Island's listing on Valve's gaming platform did not mention that the game will be available on the Steam Deck. The game description also said that players will be able to choose the perfect location between mountains and the sea to build their dream homes.
The farming simulator game comes as in recent years, games in the genre have seen an increase in popularity, particularly after Stardew Valley was released in 2016. Starsand Island's first trailer showcases much of the home that players will live in, said GameRant.
A Cozy Farming Simulator
The footage also gives players a glimpse of the lush island that they will be able to explore and showcases some of Starsand Island's features. These include farming and interacting with objects in the environment.
Starsand Island will also let players take care of various animals, decorate their homes, and fish for sea creatures. However, the game will have several unique activities, such as diving into the depths of the sea to find coral or hidden pearls as well as exploring the wilds to gather wild herbs.
Despite the beautiful animations of Starsand Island, not much is known about its developer, Creativision Studio, which appears to be based in South Korea. However, an account on X, formerly known as Twitter, showed that the company was set up for the game in 2021.
This suggests that Starsand Island has been in development for quite some time now. Creativision Studio also said that whether it's designing murals, customizing sounds, or programming interactive props, players are free to express themselves, according to the VideoGamesChronicle.
