Total War: Pharoah Welcomes Mesopotamia, Aegean, More in Massive Free Update

New Regions and Playable Cultures

One of the most exciting features of the upcoming update is the expansion of the game map to include the regions of Mesopotamia and the Aegean. This expansion will allow players to explore and conquer ancient lands such as Assyria, Babylon, Mycenae, and Troy, adding depth and diversity to the gaming experience.

In addition to the expanded map, the update will introduce four new playable cultures, each with its own unique units and gameplay mechanics. Players will have the opportunity to lead these ancient civilizations to victory as they navigate the challenges of the Bronze Age.

Enhanced Gameplay Mechanics

Alongside the new regions and cultures, the update will also bring several enhancements to gameplay mechanics. One notable addition is the Dynasty system, which adds a layer of depth to faction leadership by introducing elements of mortality and succession. Players will now have to consider the long-term consequences of their actions as they strive to leave behind a lasting legacy.

Furthermore, the update will introduce over 150 new and reworked units, providing players with a wider array of strategic options on the battlefield. With over 80 new units for the Mesopotamian factions and an additional 70 reworked units from A Total War Saga: TROY, players can expect more dynamic and immersive battles than ever before.

Maintaining Player Choice

Despite the significant changes introduced by the update, Creative Assembly is committed to ensuring that players still have the freedom to experience the original campaign if they prefer. Details on how this will be achieved will be provided in future communications from the development team.

In an effort to increase transparency and foster greater collaboration with the player community, Creative Assembly will be initiating a series of conversations around the creation of the update. These discussions will provide insights into the development process and allow players to share their thoughts and feedback directly with the development team.
