The upcoming DLC will be the second one and is known as "Omenroad." It is said to introduce the game's "most extensively written campaign yet" and will also add a new roguelike mode.

In Wildermyth, players will take control of their heroes as they start out on the job. You will accompany them through a lifetime of adventures and watch them fight, fall in love, get married, and grow old.

With its immersive gameplay and player-driven storytelling, Wildermyth has racked up 15,000 reviews and has achieved a 95% Steam rating.

So far, the upcoming DLC is already going down well among fans of the game. Additionally, the developer, Worldwalker Games, said that the new roguelike mode will feature progression across runs, according to PCGamesN.

The new story campaign coming in the second DLC is known as A Walk in the Unlight. It features the Omenroad format and takes players past the Yondering Lands and into the world beyond.

You will be able to go on an adventure into Netherflare, which is the land of the lost. In it, players are invited to attend the Neverbefore Ball that is held inside of a dragon's castle.

Instead of having traditional random story events found in a normal campaign, the DLC features rewritten content for Omenroad. There will also be 25 new battle maps for players to explore.

A Lot of New Content

Wildermyth was first released in 2021 and the upcoming Omenroad DLC is set for a May 16, 2024, release. Players' characters can sometimes turn into werewolves and you can equip them with magical pets, said Inverse.

In the base game, your characters will travel through an overworld map in order to reach battles critical to the story. You then have to fight roaming armies and encounter procedural story events.

But in the new Omenroad DLC, the overworld is replaced by a node map. Each individual node represents a battle for players to tackle. You only have to select the node in order to fight, making progression a lot easier.

At every stop, players can earn a variety of rewards from random events. You will also be able to promote a single hero from any party that makes it to the end so they can join future campaigns.

The narrative that is featured in A Walk in the Unlight takes pieces of lore from all of the game's existing campaigns. This is particularly exciting to players who have experienced everything in the base game.

The new DLC also features a lot of new content, including 20 new boss fights, 20 new unlockable artifacts and augments, as well as a new "Wall of Fame" that features 12 challenge-based titles for you to earn, according to GamingOnLinux.
