The Wandering Village is getting a new update that will finally let players feed their people to the massive beast Onbu following a community vote on the option.
The title is a city-building game where you raise the settlement on the back of a massive beast known as Onbu. For the most part, your people and the beast live in a symbiotic relationship with each other.
The Wandering Village Update
Your people keep Onbu healthy and in return, the massive beast will carry them on its back throughout its travels. But after a community vote, 75% chose Yet on the option to feed villages to Onbu.
The game's developer, Stray Fawn Studio, said in an update post that this would not only fill up the beast's stomach, it also terrifies your villagers. This, in turn, would cause them to stop revolting and start seeing Onbu as a divine being.
They will then demand more sacrifices to the massive beast or they will become more and more unhappy with each level of the cult. Following the vote, the new update will be available on The Wandering Village's testing branch, according to Rock Paper Shotgun.
On top of letting players feed their villages to Onbu, the new update will also add new parasites to certain biomes in the game. Your people will now have to deal with infesting creatures that land on the massive beast's back with a new "Pest Control" building.

However, some pests can be useful, the developers said, and eggs laid by some parasites can be farmed and eaten. Stray Fawn Studio also released the patch notes for the update that lists all of the additions and changes to the game.
The developer also added a new Onbu command and made various other improvements, bug fixes, and balancing adjustments. Stray Fawn Studio also urged players to report bugs to help them fix any issues the game has.
Managing a Village on the Back of a Massive Beast
The game has players trying to manage the progress of a small tribe of humans as they survive the poisonous wastelands that surround them. When you start, you are given an option to choose from three difficulty options, said Windows Central.
The first one was designed for new players and will feature constant pop-ups that take over a large part of the screen. These will provide guidance and objectives to help you learn to micromanage your tribe.
The second difficulty is the better choice for players who are already accustomed to city-building simulators. It also gives you the opportunity to adjust the difficulty to a custom level by choosing whether or not Onbu and/or the villagers can die.
As the game progresses, players will also have to communicate with Onbu in order to avoid dangerous storms and whirlpools. You will also have to guide the massive beast towards schools of fish for a healthy meal.
You are also able to evaporate seawater to maintain your farms and are able to gather kelp for medical uses. The game's previous Ocean Update also added a variety of new features and content, such as new events, buildings, decorations, and a hostility modifier system, according to Hey Poor Player.
