PS Vita players will finally be able to continue their The Walking Dead adventure from Season 1 next week. Season 2 of Telltale's acclaimed series based on the hit TV show is coming to Sony's portable device on April 22. Episodes 1 and 2, already available on other platforms, will release simultaneously for Vita.
The second season of the game began back in December with the release of Episode 1 on other major platforms, but Vita gamers have been left in the dust. Because you can continue your file through episodes and seasons, all of those playing on Vita as their primary platform have been forced to wait for Season 2 to come to the system (unless they're willing to give up their progress and start on another platform).
The entire first season was first released for Vita as a bundle with the system last August. This brought a lot of people into the series through Vita, but has left many frustrated with the long wait. If they haven't grown impatient and started the series on another platform, the wait will finally be over on Tuesday.
Season 2 has continued on without Vita players, with Episode 2 - A House Divided having been released early in March. The next entry is slated for release on an unspecified day in May, so Vita gamers will have some time to catch up. However, it's unclear at this time if Episode 3 will be released for Vita alongside the other systems in May--hopefully another long wait is not in the cards.
