The Evil Within is the latest horror game from the twisted mind of the Resident Evil series, Shinji Mikami, and from what we've seen so far it contains some pretty disturbing imagery. The latest trailer in particular shows a game that employs every trick in the book to make you unsettled and gross you out. One of the most promininent of those features is barbed wire- and the people behind the sharp security wire aren't going to put up with it.
They have started a protest of Bethesda and this game for slamming the quite useful material and neglecting all the ways it can be beneficial for mankind. They quite rightfully point out that if the protagonist were to simply employ bared wire in the manner it was supposed to be used, on the top of fences rather than wrapped around people's faces and weapons, it would prevent him from monster attack. It's not fair to see it always used as an instrument of violence and destuction, they say, and they have taken to the press. Or The Onion, at least.
Now this is a sponsered post so it means that Bethesda paid The Onion to make it but it's still pretty damn funny. Enjoy it below.
